A Prime Lens System with Superb Optical Quality
Life is unpredictable. With the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System, you’ll be ready for anything. Interchange the three front lenses to shoot at a fixed focal length of 35mm, 50mm or 80mm; produce stunning sharpness or smooth bokeh with the iris diaphragm aperture mechanism; and use the six drop-in aperture plates to pepper your frame with delicate bokeh shapes at larger apertures. Small and light, this handcrafted Art Lens System is three prime lenses in one — all you need to do is attach the front element to the lens base.

The Neptune Convertible Art Lens System has an optimal feature for every shooting situation and unlimited potential. We’re already looking at designing new front lenses with focal lengths ranging from a ultra-wide-angle 15mm lens to a 400mm monocular. Because each of these new front lenses will be compatible with the original lens base, you’ll be able to extend your range using the same system and for a fraction of the price of a new standard lens. And if you back us on Kickstarter, you’ll be able to vote on which one we release first...

Unlike Any Other Lens System Out There
The Neptune Convertible Art Lens System pays homage to one of the fathers of photography — inventor of the first ever photographic optic lens, Charles Chevalier. Ever the innovator, in the late 1830s Chevalier took inspiration from an 1834 telescope design to create a photographic lens system that could be taken apart and reassembled to create different focal lengths. Voilà — the world’s first convertible photographic optic lens was born.

Assembled by hand using the finest multi-coated glass, the Neptune Convertible Lens System has been crafted to ensure stunning sharpness and strong, saturated colors in every shooting situation.
Back us on Kickstarter now to save up to 45 percent on a Neptune Convertible Art Lens System and a range of exclusive extras!
