Dear lovers of the magical Lomographic world,

Once upon a time there were loads of colourful, exciting, analogue cameras that fulfilled the wildest dreams of every photographer… In this world you could shoot half-frame photos, dreamy pictures, through multiple lenses… Stop!

You are right, we are not telling fairytales. Still, it sounds too good to be true, but actually it is! And while our diligent team is about to perform magic through the development of overwhelming novelties for the Lomographic world, we want you to enchant your customers with these sales tips!

Do you need some film today?

To up-sell film make sure at the cash register you always ask “do you need some film today?"

Recommend the appropriate film for the camera the person is buying (or normally uses), e.g. 400 and 800 ASA film for Fisheye cameras, Supersamplers and Actionsamplers. Additionally, you can convince the customer that it will be fun to try out new techniques, for example cross-processing a slide film!


 

Push the Diana F+ accessories!

Every customer who buys a Diana F+ camera should be informed about the wide range of Diana F+ tools that they can use with their little plastic friend. Start talking about the lenses, the Splitzer, the cable release, bags and the Diana Instant Back+ as enthusiastically as possible! The Fisheye Lens is an especially popular accessory and a must-have in your shop!

Shoot an Instax pic of your customer!

Whenever a customer stands at the cash register with a Diana camera: shoot a picture of them using the Diana F+ and the Instant Back+! Give them this photo along with their purchase and tell them that this will apply as a discount voucher for their next purchase!

You could offer a 5% or 10% discount for a purchase over €70. It’s certainly advisable to write an expiry date for the discount on the back, then stamp or sign it. We are sure this Diana photo will remind them of their shopping experience and will bring them back to your shop soon!

Give cameras to your sales staff!

They will pass on their experience and enthusiasm to customers – give it a try and you’ll see: it really works!

People shopping in your store should be able to touch the product and examine it carefully. This increases the chance that they will fall in love with the object they hold in their hands and will also want to take it home!

So if you don’t have a dummy for every camera you sell in your shop yet – ask for it! We will send it to you with your next order.

Are your photo curtains almost falling apart? Or don’t you have any at all?
