LOMO WORLD CONGRESS - A REVIEW
Epidemic Alert in London! The snapshot fever circulated during the recent Lomographic World Congress from 17th - 23rd September in the entire city.
The vast Lomography Wall, a 350 meter long installation with more than 100.000 photos at Trafalgar Square did not only infect the world-spanning network of Lomographers. Hosted by the London Design Festival, the biggest lomographic project of all time was THE attraction for artmaniacs, lost and found tourists, fascinated journalists, straying workhorses and Lomo-stalkers of every age.

Additionally to the 250 active Lomographers from the worldwide community who took part in the congress, many visitors from Trafalgar Square immerged in the World of Lomography every day.

Besides the mental Lomowall, the congress programme included a wide spectrum of workshops, speeches, discussions, support groups as well as photo- and city challenges, conducted by artists from the Londonian scene. In this analog ambiance, the chipper crowd gathered at nighttime to have dinner and celebrate parties.

Uncountable stories of Lomographers in London and many thousands of pictures are the spectacular result of this historic lomographic event.

A documentation of the project with a photo gallery, diaries and films are presented since October 17th on www.lomography.com/congress2007.
