Where did 2010 go? You've probably been busy snapping away with your Sprocket Rocket or circling yourself with the Spinner 360°, so here's a recap of all the improvements we made to the Lomography website in 2010. We've Feng Shui-ed the place and added a load of features for you to play around with!
Aside from having a new look, in the LomoHomes section you can now:
Send public or private messages to others in the Lomo Community
Create your very own LomoWalls!
We introduced the Geotagging feature so you can tell others where your photos were taken and discover LomoLocations on the Nearby map. Take a look at this animation to see how the map was filled in its first six months!
We gave you a brand new easy to use Lab to upload your photos to, you can also:
Check out our new Analogue Lifestyle section for essays, critiques and discussions
Catch up on the Shop News, the place you can find up-to-the-minute deals and updates from our Online Shop!
Get ready for more exciting additions to come in 2011!
Head to the Playground to see what we are planning for this year, très cool huh?
Some BIG numbers about the Lomography online community in 2010 (some of them are just too much for our LITTLE brains to handle!):
Thankfully some things will never change!
Take your camera everywhere you go.
Use it day or night.
Lomography is not just an interface in your life, but a part of it.
Shoot from the hip.
Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible.
Don't think.
Be fast.
You don't have to know beforehand what you've captured on film.
Or afterwards, either.
Don't worry about the rules.
