If you are interested in donating money or supplies, make sure the organization you are donating to is valid. Before you donate money, check out the Better Business Bureau, or a similar site in your country, do your research to make sure your money and supplies are being spent in the most helpful manner. Some suggestions are:
RED CROSS INTERNATIONAL: Contact your Local Red Cross to find out how to donate to victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
GLOBALGIVING: Has established a fund to distribute donations to other organizations providing relief and emergency services.
SAVE THE CHILDREN: Is providing humanitarian relief by providing emergency healthcare and donating non-food items, such as clothes, and shelter.
CONVOY OF HOPE: Communicates with local aid organizations and provides help to the areas in the most need.
INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS: Is putting together relief teams, supplies, and are in contact with partners in Japan to help people in need.

Community is very important to Lomography. We are not only a site where like-minded people can share ideas, art, and their passion for photography. In times like these, Lomography reaches out to the community in need to help.
The Tokyo Gallery Store team is setting up free wellness workshops at the Tokyo Lomography Gallery Store with activities to help combat depression, promote unity and support, and to help people deal with the disaster. The Lomography Gallery Store will be open with a limited schedule 12:00 – 18:00 and will be a place where everyone can relax, recover, and come together.
Lomography has also pledged a donation of €10,000 to the Red Cross in order to help and support the people of Japan.
