Yep, you heard it here first – Saturdays are the new Thursdays! Here at the Lomography London Embassy we thought we would throw your week into disarray by switching the days that we usually meet by taking them out of the working week and throwing them slap-bang into the middle of the fun-filled weekend! So wear your weekend clothes, kids, and quoting from the legendary Phil Collins – “No jacket required.” Bring your boyfriends, girlfriends, date, brothers, sisters, kids, grandmas, mums, friends, neighbour – whoever. Everyone is invited to this meeting and we are really looking forward to seeing you all in your Saturday Best!

Join us in the middle of March and get-to-know your fellow London Lomographers! At the café we’ll share our love and knowledge of the wonderful Lomographic cameras – so bring all Lomography camera(s) that you own, like, and love!
If you still don’t own a Lomography camera, don’t sweat it – your London Embassy will be on hand to lend out cameras and film for the afternoon’s fun and entertainment.
If you want to borrow a camera, just bring a credit card or driving licence to swap for the duration of the loan. But remember - No ID? No camera! Comprendi?
Our Lomographic expert, Helen, will assist all those new to the sport of Lomography! We’ll also have a mini demo workshop using the following cameras that we will have on hand:
* Fisheye 2
* Colorsplash
* Diana/ Diana F+
Helen will also offer some tips on the subject of exposure and technique advice for flash use to help us on our merry way!
Let’s head out into the prime of London’s hottest spot – Southbank. We know you all love it, visit it, meet loved ones, get lost, see art, listen to stuff, get blown away, skate, watch the river, talk on your phone, drink, eat, play, work and generally love one of the best places in London that is The Southbank Centre.
The London and UK Ambassadors will devise a gorgeous and interesting route around The Southbank Centre to stimulate your minds, energise your attitudes and exhaust your bodies. During this shooting challenge excursion we will be asking you to show us THE SOUTHBANK FROM AN EXTRAORDINARY ANGLE.
Action, people, places, sights, sounds, buildings and emotions … we WANT, we NEED, and we HAVE to see what The Southbank means to you!
Back to the café for swapping back cameras for ID, telling tales of the city, drinking and laughing, joking and planning the evening’s fun, games and romances, remembering other Lomographic scrapes…
