We are creating a new Lomography website just for you! Although, we remain incredibly fond of the old place – it’s just that with an ever-growing online community, an expanding Lomographic clan and all manner of projects in the pipeline – we need somewhere new, exciting and visitor-friendly to call home. Our testing site beta.lomography.com is up and running and this is where we are adding and trying out new features. Take a look around! Parts of the new website are more in the style of an online magazine – with permanent sub-sections. We want to centralise our content areas and make the site more interactive allowing you to leave comments on all categories. The idea is to make a site that caters to all your needs while giving us room to adapt and add clever new things in the future! Over the coming weeks we will be revealing sections and features to you bit-by-bit. In this first wave we are happy to introduce you to the 3 pioneering categories! – the Blog, LomoLocations and Events… |

Most of you will know the Blog as the place to catch up on all the latest Lomography happenings. Don’t worry it is not going to disappear. It is just that certain things that used to be fed into the blog will be split into their own category. For example, Events and LomoLocations will have their own section. The new Blog will constantly be refreshed with news, competitions, vids and other fabulous randomness that may interest your insatiable Lomographic curiosity. Drop by regularly because this is the place where we will reveal new site features. http://beta.lomography.com/magazine/blog |

There is more going-down in the world of Lomography than you may have realised…exhibitions, all-night visuals, get-togethers, workshops, midnight shootings (purely of the flash variety). Events are the gatherings where you experience the most concentrated fusion of creativity, celebration and Lomographic spirit. With so many of these Lomo-fests springing up across our global community we need a place devoted entirely to them. With the new format you will be able to leave comments and ask questions the whole day long!

This is just a taster of great things to come. We hope you enjoyed the first wave! If you would like to check out how we are getting on with the new website go to beta.lomography.com. You can already browse the sections, but if you want to interact and leave comments you must migrate your account! This is very easily done – just follow the instructions when you arrive at beta.lomography.com. Important: When you migrate your account you can still use the old website in exactly the same way as before! If you migrate now, you may be called upon to be one of the very first Lomographers to test the new site. In the not so distant future beta.lomography.com will turn into www.lomography.com. Don’t fret…it will be a smooth and gradual transition! We are looking forward to receiving your feedback on the test features so we can make sure you will be totally comfortable with the new home of Lomography! |
