As fixed locations come the legendary HMS President ship, best known for the big party location of the Lomography World Congress, and the Photographers’ Gallery, the photographic heartbeat of London Town.

Comb through the city’s most un-photogenic of areas armed only with your Lomography camera, learn the skills of pimping up your old camera with style, betake challenging photo chases, enjoy the company of unique personalities or plain and simply learn how to use your camera! Featuring the Project The results of each and every Lomography London Thursday will be documented down to the precious details in the worldwide Lomography blog, including participator interviews, shots, videos, philosophies, stories, secrets, confessions and fetishes. The first London Lomography Thursday is held entirely for the sake of first meetings: meet the people, mark your territory, expand your mob, show them who you are! Make yourself heard by bringing in your very own ideas of workshops you would like to attend, LomoTalks you would like to hear, places you would like to Lomograph… Participation is both simple and compulsory! Speed, tempo, Lomography: In this first introductory meeting, Lomographers are invited to present themselves, their favourite tools, techniques and shots in a 5 minute-limit talking frenzy! This is the one and only chance to show your fellow Lomographers what you are made of. Become an icon in the Lomographic community, break the boundaries of the known, twist your tongue ‘til your tongue will twist no more, enjoy the borderless fame and the joy of new friendships. The Rules of the Game Chose 15 – yes, 15 - of their most loving and friendly images to share with the crowd. That’s a lot of selecting to be done for sure! While your 15 images are projected to the curious audience, you will be expected to stand up and talk, play music, read poetry, show your best dance moves or do anything else (legal) that you damn-well-like for 5 minutes. The Piggy Points Special Let it be said: All attending registered Lomographers receive 5 Piggy Points (Dollar/Euro). Lomographers bringing friends new to the world of Lomography are supported for future purchases with 10 tasty Piggy Points! LomoCocktails for All To loosen up the gang and evict all timidity, Linda and Karen from the Lomography Embassy London will be providing LomoCocktails for all! Home made cookies will be up for grabs to feed the minds and tummies for a long night of Lomographing and bonding while music will offer the sound for serious moves. The evening will be followed by a little “Local London Lomography Night Snapping Adventure Tour,” so don't forget your flash! Details of this mini tour will be held secret until arrival at the boat where a map and details will be given.
Please respect the system and RSVP!
