Lomography at Photokina 2008
Lomography kicked off with the theme ‘The Future is Analogue’ in one of the biggest biennial photo events, the Photokina 2008. A record-holding gigantic LomoWall (100 000 photos) plastered over the venue enthralled Lomographers and photo enthusiasts alike, amongst other analogue-oriented events.

This year we saw the expansion of the Lomography Gallery stores, mostly in Asia. Therefore we are looking forward to the opening of another brand new Lomography Gallery Store in New York!

Lomography Gallery Store Seoul
This affectionately-designed Gallery store instantly became the place to be for Lomographers all over the world. The Hongdae area is the hippest and one of the most cultural corners of town, popular for its bars, restaurants, boutiques and nightclubs around the Hongik University. |

Lomography Gallery Store Tokyo
After ten years of Lomography in Japan, Tokyo is endowed with the nation’s first Lomography Gallery store. An extensive gallery space allows 5000 printed images from around the world to be displayed at all times, while changing exhibitions by Lomographers and local artists will be exhibited regularly. A cooperation of Lomography with the Kunsthalle Wien (Contemporary Museum) will give an additional perspective to the exhibitions. |

Lomography Gallery Store Shanghai
In 2009 you can look forward to the opening of a brand new Lomography Gallery Store in Shanghai!
Located in an old Shanghai style building, the brand new Lomography Gallery Store will offer the whole range of Lomography products and stationary on 6 floors!
An extensive gallery space will allow loads of printed images from around the world to be displayed at all times, while changing exhibitions by Lomographers and local artists will be exhibited regularly. A lomographic café will serve as an additional treat!
A great chance for everyone in Shanghai either to start their first steps into the vast field of Lomography or to delve into the Lomographic way of life.

Lomography Online Competitions
In 2008 we held a scores of competitions like never before – large and small alike. To start of – like other years we teamed up with Urban Outfitters where we together with you embarked on a journey to find the perfect Urban Nomads around checking out your photojourneys across the globe.

Inspired by Lomography golden rule number 4 – “try the shoot from the hip” – we teamed up with JPG and hosted a competition where you had to find the perfect photograph, of course shoot from the “hip.” In conjunction with the release of the new Lubitel + we held a rumble to find the finest Lubitel shoots that will be used to for the new and upcoming Lubitel book.
