A shining member of the sunflower family, Edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum) is one of the most well-known and intensely beloved flowers in Europe. Each delicate plant is clothed in small wooly white hairs and produce signature blooms of five or six small yellow flower heads encircled by a “star” of green leaflets. Blooming from July to September, the enchanting Edelweiss is found on rocky mountaintops from Bulgaria to Switzerland. To honor 122 years of the Edelweiss being a protected plant and 20 years of a techno / folk song celebrating the Edelweiss (Bring me Edelweiss) and the 15 year anniversary of Sylvester Stallone's classic Cliffhanger we hereby dedicate the limited edition Edelweiss Diana+ camera. Like its namesake, it lights up your day, feels great against your skin, loves nothing more than the crisp mountain air, and is tough enough to accompany you and absolutely thrive wherever you may roam. And like every other Diana+, it offers the usual list of exceptional features: |

To accompany the historic release of the Edelweiss Diana+, we’ve carved out a new online display case for our ever-growing collection of Diana+ clones. Following in the footsteps of the 2007 Lomo World Congress Diana+ and The White Stripes “MEG” Diana+, the Edelweiss edition is the third installment of our ongoing Diana+ Clones program. This microsite will serve as the official Diana+ collector’s archive from here on in. |

While the Diana+ is a real knockout to have and to hold, you’ll need to examine its extremely colorful, sometimes-blurry, delightfully unpredictable, and occasionally buckwild image to really get the full story. To help you out, we’ve revamped our online Diana+ sample galleries to show you a prince’s ransom of new photos – all courtesy of the beady Diana+ plastic lens. |
