Until now the underwater world has hidden away its secrets from us deep in its watery recesses.

Something is down there.

Just below the Surface
Just below the surface – the homosapien Gluttonous Maximus.
The species found here tend to be of the human variety. Often they can be found lounging in dinghies and sipping on a pina colada. However, with the fisheye submarine we are exposed to the other side of this species.
3 Meters below
3 m below – ‘The Photophile Friend’
A ha! Here we find a most friendly creature. Always happy to pose for pictures. Generally not aggressive unless provoked.  To get the best out of your fisheye submarine, it is very important to get up close and personal! A distance of 10cm – 1 metre is ideal to achieve the maximum fisheye effect.
Most of the fish and marine life you’ll encounter will be found here…between 1 and 3 metres below the surface.
7 Meters below

7m below – aggressive swarming jellyfish
The common jellyfish on its own can be a quite graceful and calm sea-dweller. However, when these chaps decide to get together, let’s say they are not always welcoming of gatecrashers.

Not to worry! The fisheye submarine is built strong and sturdy, ready for any rough and tumble you might encounter beneath the waves.

It doesn’t stop there… Whether you feel like shooting in thunderstorms, a snow blizzard or hellfire hail, the fisheye submarine is your all-weather pal. Perhaps you’re mad into ski jumping, wakeboarding, tandem snowboarding, skydiving, free-jumping. The fisheye submarine is your partner in extreme sport crime.

11 Meters below

11m below – water eddy whirlpools
BEWARE! These underwater twisters can be as bubbly good fun as a dip in the jacuzzi or as unlucky as getting mixed up in a full-throttle, F4 tornado!

TIP: water eddies and particularly eager swimmers increase the chance of ‘backscatter’ (- sand, rocks, seaweed) disturbing your flow. To stop the flash reflecting off backscatter try to bank your enthusiasm, count to 20, and wait until everything settles before you get back to snapping!

The deeper you shoot, the more natural light will be swallowed up by the water. The fisheye submarine comes with a flash diffuser and allows easy access to the flash.

TIP: A speedy ISO 400 film works perfectly in the fisheye camera to soak up the maximum amount of light.

16 Meters below

16 m below – swim with the fishes
Even as deep as 20 metres the fisheye sub’s crystal clear, polycarbonate lens opening captures radiant colours and yields clear shots.

20 Meters below

20m the clever octopus
Our 8-legged chum the octopus, recently shocked scientists by showing ‘observational intelligence’. The octopus knows all too well that when there is something good to be had you must reach out and grab it with all 8 arms!
