Lomography is taking course to France and landing its very own gallery shop in the city of Paris. In a charming boutique right out of a time where style was born, Lomography put their luggage down and they mean business! But they also mean fun and game. For a limited time only, Lomography will be: Selling out of Suitcases! Following the last ventures of Lomography gallery shops in Hong Kong and Beijing, the Lomography Check-In! is to be a special shopping experience and meeting point for Paris’ Lomographers and all people rapt by the outrageous world of analogue photography and the activities of the worldwide platform of Lomography. Still trapped in paperwork, Parisian bureaucracy and never-ending Lomographic ideas, the Lomography Design team and the Lomography Embassy Paris put their heads together and took off with an improvised and temporary concept all around the theme of transit. Almost entirely designed out of old luggage and offering a premium selection of Lomography products, the store also displays the biggest travel-themed LomoWall in the world as a special sight-seeing treat! Thousands of crisp, unsharp and color soaked pictures from a world of unrest and beauty, nature and cities, wildlife and still life. Pack your bags and gear up for boarding; you are heart-warmingly invited to take the first scoop on what is en route to become the first Lomography Shop in Paris by spring 2008! |

The temporary Lomography Shop Paris awaits its first commuters with surprise on-board treats and a splendid Lomo Party. It is a very special pleasure for Lomography Paris to present their good friends: The Herman Dune Family and Special Guests. With their love for real instruments, analog recording (yes, they are one of the very few that still come in AAA quality) and vintage sounds, they will join us for our festivities. Herman Dune has roots in Sweden, France, and the USA. David-Ivar aka Ya Ya (guitar, bass and vocals) has been playing with Neman (Drums) since early childhood. With a few albums out on American, English and French underground labels, and the latest widely acclaimed album "Giant", they have toured with light luggage all over the world for an expanding crowd. John Peel invited them for 12 Peel Sessions on BBC, like only a few other bands ever have, and they still record for the BBC from time to time now that he is gone. Well acquainted with the American live scene, and with many friends in the New York Artist Community, they have been restlessly on the road and made strong connections in many states and countries.
