With the third Lomography World Congress snapping at our heels we thought it would be a good time to take a step back, take stock and go back to our roots.

...As well as being no.6 on the 10 golden rules list, it is also the name of the first ever, official book dedicated to the revolutionary photographic phenomenon, which is Lomography!

What started as a homage to the mighty LC-A, quickly spiralled in to over 200,000 vibrant, analogue submissions. More than 2,000 Lomographs made the final cut for their unique contribution to mapping the visual language, history and lifestyle of the global Lomographic community. International LOMO competitions like the Lomolympics and the SamplingGames provided lots of juicy ammunition and were accompanied by a bevy of cheeky tips, tricks, anecdotes and confessions! The result was better could have been hoped for.... Don't Think * Just Shoot broke new ground by growing into a time record of life and experience from all corners of the globe.

The original LC-A labour of love suddenly became an unstoppable locomotive, when we decided to get the Holga, the Action- Sampler and the Super-Sampler onboard. All of a sudden there were folk shooting from the hip, multi-lensing at the drop of a hat, snapping Medium format willy-nilly, not giving a monkeys about the rules of photography (pah!). It was at that moment we realised we had unleashed an insatiable analogue beast....Therefore, it came as no surprise that Don't Think * Just Shoot grew into a mammoth 360 page, hard-back monster (with a rather fetching dust-repelling jacket).

Some of you Lomo veterans might quite rightly be getting a strange feeling of de-ja vu. For Don't Think -Just Shoot was originally published in 2002; went down such a storm then, completely sold out (shelves were bare for years) and became a legend in the LOMO history.
