In the grand Lomographic tradition, we’re sending the Diana+ on a tour around the world. Slated for Spring 2008, the first location will be Tokyo, Japan! A fat collection of our classic Detrich Collection Diana cameras will adorn the event! Exclusive Diana Vignettes and Diana+ images from around the world will cover the walls! This event, my friends, will be the first layover on a globe-spanning and wonderfully on-going traveling Diana sideshow.
As a valued Lomographer, we need YOUR input to make this project a rousing success! Here’s what you can do:
WRITE!
we’re looking for unbelievable fictional short stories set in Tokyo. These tales must be absolutely loaded with imaginative details and unbelievable situations. Whether it’s Godzilla, the Yakuza, Killer Robots, or a Tea Ceremony, the only restrictions are (1) it has to be written in English and (2) it has to somehow include a Diana camera. SHOOT!
We’ll have two rounds for shooting. Right now, there is one story already online, just waiting for your images (see the next section below). Next, we’ll collect the new stories (written by you Lomographers), pick the very best ones, and post them for a second round of image submissions. For the moment, you can scroll down and get cracking on the first story.

To kick things off, we’re got one Tokyo tale ready and waiting for your brilliant Diana+ images. Slice up some sashimi, pour a glass of green tea, turn the volume down on your karaoke machine, and read through it carefully. After you’ve digested it, formulate your plans, get out outside, and start shooting your finest Diana+ pics to illustrate this Vignette.

And remember, one photo winner from every Vignette will be chosen after the submission deadline. The prize is none other than our iconic Lomo LC-A+ camera!
All images that are accepted for the Vignettes will earn 5 piggypoints for use in the Lomography Online Shop (maximum of 25 piggypoints per user, per story). Not only that – your images will then be considered for publication in the Diana World Tour Tokyo exhibition!
