Having been behind the lens in Iraq, Bosnia, Syria and Afghanistan, Luca Faccio is no stranger to finding himself in the most intense situations of conflict and human endurance.
His ground-breaking 'Image Transfer Pyongyang/Vienna' allowed him again to push the boundaries of photography, art and international relations. Stepping behind the closed borders of North Korea, Luca shot the people and country in way never permitted before. It's one of the first times that the world outside North Korea has been given an insight into the ordinary people without the usual focus on its politics, dictatorship or atomic weapons development. As well as the interview, we get pulled into Luca's work with his strikingly absorbing Horizon gallery, featuring shots he took in North Korea.

The Horizon cameras' panoramic magic allows us to see what goes unnoticed by other cameras, maybe even what went unseen when you took the shot. Using its unique swing lens technik, the Horizon sweeps from left to right, before snapping closed its shutter on the world. In the meantime, another 120-degree, panoramic wonder is in the making. The Horizon Kompakt and Horizon Perfekt boast the uncanny talent of creating a picture, which when revealed, swallows you inside, as though you were seeing it through your very own eyes.
All this as well as stunning colours, clarity and a sharpness to rival even the most daredevil knife-thrower.
We take the greatest pleasure in introducing the Horizon Kompakt and the Horizon Perfekt in one-time only appearances in Cirque du Swing-Lens special film bundles.

The world of the Horizon is so much more than the obvious... A few days ago we invited our ever eagle-eyed Lomo community to send in their Horizon curiosities to take part in this special Cirque du Swing-Lens gallery.
If you spot your curious creation, the reward of 5 Piggies should be walking that cyber tight-rope to you as we speak.
