ZENIT SLR CAMERAS :: WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET
A.K.A. ZENIT RUMBLE PART 2 – THE SEQUEL!
On a technical level, Single Lens Reflex cameras use a movable mirror placed between the lens and the film plane to project the image seen through the lens into your viewfinder. Once you peer into the camera, then quite literally – what you see is what you get. But dig a bit deeper, and you’ll see that it’s much more than that. It’s truly a one-on-one interaction between you and your machine – in which focusing, composing, and shooting are intimate and highly rewarding activities. With an SLR, your eye becomes one with the lens – and the camera becomes a true extension of your body.
We are thrilled to present a selection of the finest Russian SLR’s (and hands-down the greatest Fisheye Lens) on the market today. Made with pride by our Zenit partners, they are typically Russian – as in sturdy, robust, handsome, friendly, not quite “state of the art,” and totally irresistible. You’ll find yourself quickly infatuated with their off-kilter looks, old-school controls, and beautiful, quirky optics. And they come from a classic pedigree: the first 35mm SLR camera was actually created in Russia back in 1935! Although they might appear a bit plasticky, have no fear – beneath that high-impact plastic skin lies an all-business steel skeleton and a glass lens that yields world-class tack-sharp images with the special kind of over-vibrant colors that only Russian optics can yield.

Horizons are bent, straight lens are curved, and noses are sucked right into your camera. Premium multicoated optics and a fast 2.8 aperture make the results even more slamming. And the best news: it’s available in three different mounts to please all manners of SLR shooters.
