Okay, you win. The 9,000+ images that you and your Lomographic contemporaries submitted to our Analog Future Rumble successfully prove that Lomographers are without a doubt the most qualified mass of creative-types around, and as such, we'd like to ask you for your input on the future of photography (especially the analog part)! Your absolutely breathtaking mass of images ranged from the most insane crossprocessed-multipleexposed-lightleaked-buckwild-blurred-streaked-buckwild snapshot to simple, sublime, and seriously beautiful intimate portraits. These incredible shots have made one thing very obvious: you know your stuff. As such, we hereby humbly ask you to share some of your knowledge and insights with us via our Analog & Digital Photography Online Poll. This series of questions can be answered within minutes and will thoroughly quiz you on the advantages and disadvantages of both, Analog and Digital, the special properties of Analog vs. Digital, your connection to the whole thing, and where Analog and Digital is going in the future. We’ll use the results 1.) to guide our upcoming exhibition at the Photokina show (more on that below), 2.) most likely in a book on “Analog Photography in the Digital Age” that we have planned for next year, and 3.) to create as many useful Lomographic things & tools as possible in the near future! This poll is for the joy of millions of Lomographers, for the evolution of Lomography as a way of being and creativity, and for the ultimate explosion of the Lomographic World Archive! As an Analog Honzo, please take on this solemn duty and help us to show the everlasting beauty and the zillion creative possibilities of film to a huge hall full of mega pixel maniacs. This year’s Photokina tradeshow (the biggest photo industry show in the world, held in Cologne, Germany) is primed for a full-on Lomographic celebration. From September 26th to October 1st, you’d better get ready for a heaping dose of: TTHE “ANALOG STRIKES BACK” LOMOWALL Over 9000 images, as collected in our Analog Future Rumble, will be displayed on an enormous 17-meter (55’) long LomoWall. ANALOG & DIGITAL POLL PRESENTATION The findings of our Poll will be presented to photo-industry dignitaries. PIMP-YOUR-CAMERA WORKSHOP Bring a dead-or-alive LC-A or Horizon along to have it repaired/modified/tuned by a true Russian specialist. BUILD YOUR OWN LOMOWALL WORKSHOP Work your own photos (or some from the enormous LomoPhotoCrate) into a dazzling LomoWall. Expert guides will be on hand to help. If you bring your own shots, take along 5-10 prints of each motif, and make sure that they are all the exact same size.
