Production of our beloved little LC-A was ceased a little over a year ago. From that day forth, we harnessed the power and advice of our precious Lomographic Society to create the product that you see before you: the brand-new LC-A+! It’s designed as not only a replacement for – but also a major improvement upon the original design. It’s the marriage of the incomparable Russian-made Minitar 1 32/2.8 lens and a newly constructed body by the talented Phenix Optics company of China (home to the Yasuhara and Widepan cameras).
For new Lomographers, it provides the same images and effects that the original LC-A was so soundly adored for. For you old-school veterans, it offers a host of new features and technique possibilities within the body and lens that you’re well versed in using. The Lomo LC-A+’s brilliant little 32/2.8 is still produced in Russia according to Professor Radionov’s original specifications. All of the magical Lomo effects – including over-intense color saturation, sharp contrast, vignetting at the edges, occasionally selective focus – are in place and at your disposal. Like the original, it’s made at the LOMO Optical plant of St. Petersburg, Russia.
Classic LC-A body design
Crafted by hand at China’s legendary Phenix Optics, the LC-A+ has the same weight, feel, smell, and robust design as the original. The lighting-fast zone focus system is still there as well.
Multiple exposure switch (NEW)
Flip this to reset the shutter and shoot an unlimited amount of times on the same frame. Perfecto for superimposing one image on top of another, and very cool when paired with long exposures or flash shots.
Extended ISO 100 to ISO 1600 film range (NEW)
For you hi-speed vultures out there, the new LC-A+ accommodates film speeds of ISO 100, 200, 400, 800, and the ultra-speedy and super-grainy 1600!!
Standard cable release thread & cable release (NEW)
Long exposures are an unparalled pleasure once your insert the included cable release and use it to remotely fire your shutter.
Auto-exposure with unlimited shutter time
“Don’t Think” as before – just point the camera and it will select the proper shutter and aperture setting for you. If it’s nighttime, then the shutter has no limit - and will stay open just as long as it needs to.
