This year I want to take London by the balls and sink my teeth into its grey neck. I know there's a lot available here; I just need to get off my gradually growing ass to take advantage of it. I'm still working in an office. I'm still making up my mind about what I want to do. But in the mean time I have to make at least a few decisions. Take some steps. |
Once again, I have withdrawn into the protective shell of my studio. I've been suffering from a low-grade viral infection that has left me weak, prone to bouts of high fever, but I am also gripped again by agoraphobia, making the open expanse of the beach a hostile environment. The best I can manage is my upstairs verandah, from which I can look westwards to the empty horizon of the Pacific - as I've written before, nothing but ocean between me and the rocky, windswept coast of Chile, 6,000 nautical miles away. |
songs i am listening to during this ominous moment in time::: conjugate the verbs - enon, outta.the.races...-rapture, who rocks the party - les savy fav i feel like doing something dramatic with my hair. just cuz. strawberry blonde and red streaks. maybe on reading week. people are smokng pot in the staircase. greg's freaking out. he's such a pussy. i cashed in a cheque and bought valentines. and green glasses. |
I decided not to look over and to this day I still wonder whether he was talking to me or to the dog. I opened the door to the sitting room and went back in. As I crossed the room, the snow began to fall again. I could see my father staring at it with a peculiar, sneaky expression. He caught my eye, and the briefest look of pure naughtiness passed over his face, swiftly followed by one of busy concentration as he pretended to scrutinise a painting depicting a humorous equestrian scene. |
Thing is most of the shots I could take would just look mundane... right now thats just the world I inhabit. Maybe it's just me? I mean you look at someone like Special_Patrol (see my links!) who, by her own admittion, doesn't live the most exciting of lives & yet you find some amazing photo's that portray the depth, honesty & beautifully mundane moments of her life... So maybe it's just me? Maybe I don't have the eye? Or maybe the familiarity of my everyday surroundings have bred contempt to the degree that I don't want to record it? |
Next morning...friday...raya day. Woke up at 6 oclock..was woken up by sound or crashing and skidding. Right in front of the house..which is near the road..car accident. Dont know whose fault it is...when there is some light at about 7 oclock..police arrive. I was like watever...hahahaha... Actually i was trying to snap some pictures...but cant find a good angle n afraid to come anywhere closer.. |
