Lomography Culture Night in Oslo
Sinfully Lomography in Singapore
Aide memoire

After a hectic May we can recommend the following agenda for a somewhat more relaxing June: Start with a bright all-night Culture Night in Oslo, to be followed with cruising across the Norwegian North Sea, then across the Mediterranean via Gibraltar, stopping off to go ashore in Cairo for a Lomography VJ party, then along the Suez Canal and over the Indian Ocean to Singapore and the Sinfully Lomography quest.

So, perhaps even the serious activists among us can be convinced that it's totally ok to rummage through bulging archives but the real challenge of Lomography lies in heading out into the world and shooting afresh. (Apropos... Reminder: submissions for Bady Minck's LoMozart Rumble must be in by June 10.)
Collective Memory at 'Kulturnatt' in OSLO
June 3, from 6pm
Location '40', Universitetsplassen, Oslo
Norway is celebrating 100 years of independence from the Swedish Union. For the opening event for the centenary festival, the City of Oslo is presenting around 45 venues in a Culture Night that show a cross-section of the current art scene and life in the city. And they've invited the Oslo Lomographic Embassy to contribute. The Lomography Tent on Universitetsplassen with a Fisheye Views exhibition and a show of Norwegian LomoHomes will be running the whole night as an attraction in its own right and as a meeting point for an interactive project on the subject of Collective Memory. Henrik Noemm, our Ambassador and an architect, is giving a personal introduction to the participants, contact him at embassyoslo@lomography.no or christine@lomography.com (she'll also be there). And the night is going to be looooong – and bright!

Sinfully Lomography in SINGAPORE
June 20 to 24
Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, 12A Liang Seah Street
Join the Singapore Lomographers as they revel in the guilty pleasures of the Seven Deadly Sins, and create masterpieces while basking in the topics of pride, greed, envy, gluttony, lust, anger and sloth. This event, with the Seven Deadly Sins as an overall theme, will be divided into two main components – a photography exhibition featuring artists' contributions and a photography competition for avid Lomographers.
So, contact the Singapore embassy at singapore@lomographyasia.com, equip yourself with a lomographic camera and seek out the seven deadly sins in clinically clean Singapore. Capture each colourful sinful action. Obtain an entry form from any of the Lomography retailers, and paste your sinful shots on. Decorate these as you see fit, meet and just, and submit them to the Singapore Lomography Embassy at Objectifs by June 20 so they can go on show.
