July 1 to 19
Spring gallery, 126a Front Street, Brooklyn, NY |
 |
170 degree competition for friends of Lomography and Fisheye experts is being presented by the Brooklyn gallery SPRING: 'wellRounded' is the theme, a dotage on all that is rotund and curvy. Armed with your wide-angle gear you're under the gun to shoot as many 'wellRounded' shots as humanly possible. Try out that new angle, a different point of view, and a non-literal interpretation of the theme. It's not only going to be terrific fun, this user-generated exhibition is your chance to have your Lomographic work shown in a well-known New York gallery. Moreover, every exhibitor will receive full photography credits, and the best film will be awarded with a sensational prize: the Holga Fisheye Set. The theme of 'wellROUNDED' will also be explored by Adam Scott, Fiorenzo Borghi, and Austin Young – three extremely talented professional photographers and Lomographers. This exhibition and contest is open to everyone throughout the world. Even if you can't get to SPRING, you can send your photos by post and help make Fisheye history! Submission deadline: July 9 (postal submissions) and July 10 (at the gallery)! Come to the opening party at the SPRING gallery on Tuesday July 19. Contact the New York Lomography Embassy anytime for support at info-usa@lomography.com. |

220 – Tweetwintig, Botersloot 40a/42a, Rotterdam |
 |
A Lomography Launch at a superb Rotterdam location. 220 – TweeTwintig is a design studio and store by Eugenie Schardijn's team. They started-up 14 years ago with a focus on the concept of a two-way design world. Herself an interior designer, Eugenie insists that the interaction with customers should be an essential part of any approach to products, exhibitions and interior design or experiments in the field. The 220 store features their own lines of lighting, industrial and furniture design, as well as classic and new designs. The space plays with a dynamic logo concept, changing the theme two times a year. At the upcoming event on July 23 at 220, as part of the presentation of the studio's new theme 'Whispered', Eugenie is inviting the Rotterdam creative scene to provide their interpretations of the topic using the new Fisheye camera. |
