The Horizon is not merely a camera – it's truly an artistic tool for creative people. What better way to unlock its endless possibilities than to place it into the hands of the worlds most unique, talented, hyperactive, and thoroughly engaging creative individuals? To this end, we'll set forth to scour the globe for project participants from varied creative disciplines, put a Horizon in their hands, and let them do their thing. Periodically, we'll present to you the fruits of their labor, complete with insight into their lives, hopes, dreams, and techniques. |

We will supply a brand-smacking new Horizon camera to our chosen participant. The participant will be left to their own devices for several weeks – free to explore, experiment, and shoot their ever-loving brains out with their camera. After a short while, they’ll return the film to us for processing. Once complete, we’ll present their images – along with a tasty interview and riveting profile – to you, our dear Lomographic Community. As we canvas the globe for potential “Broaden Your Horizon” honchos, we’ll endeavor to collect the most broadly diverse creative group possible. We’ll look for musicians, artists, photographers, graphic cowboys, writers, dancers, and everything else under the sun. And we’ll pull them out of every possible corner of the globe. Each participant will present to you an entirely new perspective on life, loves, and photography as seen through the Horizon’s panoramic majesty. We’ll have a steady stream of regular, delicious updates and new participants, so be sure to keep your schedule clear. |

Kozyndan are Los Angeles based mad scientists. They are working on a secret formula for controlled nuclear fusion, and are creating a line of edible chickens. For fun they like to take long deep breaths and dip their heads into bowls of raspberry jelly and lemon curd. They live indoors and don't paint on walls. The couple also moonlights as freelance illustrators.

As if their unrivaled appetite for raspberry jelly and bean curd wasn’t enough to pique our curiosity, Kozyndan’s iconic panoramic illustrations of chaotic city-scenes placed them as the perfect choice to kick off this project. Walk with us, and discover what’s inside the minds and above the shutter fingers of this team.

These beautiful Russian twins (fraternal, not identical) are the premier choice for true Panoramic photography. Forget that rinky-dink camera from the dime store that merely cuts off the top and bottom of each picture – and calls the half-baked result “panoramic.” Using “swing-lens” mechanics, the Horizon’s lens sweeps from side to side – capturing a true 120-degree view with stunning clarity, sharpness, and color. These images show a totally unique perspective and barrel-effect that cannot be duplicated with any conventional camera. Take a walk through the links below and meet the cast.
