Things sometimes annoy us. Everyday necessities, half-baked ideas, urban ducking and diving, boring colours, motionless entities or a nasty (facial) expression. Although there is temptation all around us, too: the unpredictable, boundless types of games, off-the-wall thinking, desirable stories, absurd dogmas and crazy people. When Spring comes along and people everywhere stop seeing the world as a place of rest, we can't resist the irresistible – and hope you can't either. It's simple. Choose a destination, drop us a line and pack your bags. Or fill the empty space! Lomography speeds up the global fibre for you. Need we explain?

Lomographer's Summit – 6 Years of London Lomography
Tuesday, April 12, 7.30pm - 11pm
The Griffin, 93 Leonard Street, London, EC2A 4RD
London has inspired numerous extraordinary LomographicProjects since 1998. These have focused on both public space as well as the individual images by active Lomographers. In the LomographicWorldArchive there are tens of thousands of London images. Now, with a tribute to their collective oeuvre, we are celebrating those London Lomographers who have continually developed their creative and Lomographic missions around Fabian Monheim's activities.
On the occasion of the opening of the new Lomographic Embassy in London, Linda, Susie, Donna and Karen are extending a specially heartfelt invitation to their first LomographyLondonGathering.
On the programme are the presentation of the best LomoHomes and the screening of Alex Graham's BBC Film 'The Lomo Camera'. In addition, the project 'The Snowballing LomoLondonWall' is to be launched, for which Lomographers are being called upon to bring along their best images from 6 years of London Lomography.
The Ambassadors have selected a particularly interesting pub as the venue for a planned monthly gathering, where the blue room on the first floor has been renamed the BlueLomoRoom.
Lucky Lomo Tombola at the ABC
Saturday, April 16, 1pm - 4pm
Aoyama Book Center, 5-53-67 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo – Cosmos Garden Floor B2F
The Lomographic Embassy in Tokyo invites one and all to join in at the Aoyama Book Center on April 16. The Lucky Lomo Tombola is a project in collaboration with Fabian Monheim (factory of dreams, Tokyo). It is basically a workshop where participants make a lomographic study of objects – and luck. Participants pick an object from a box at random, like a tombola... The objects are a selection of items from the 100 Yen Shop. "they will interact with it with lomographic cameras, shooting, playing, exchanging, stealing etc." ...all on a beautiful Aoyama afternoon. Contact the Embassy for more information and reservations.
Lomography goes… Part 4
Monday, 25 April, 10am - 9pm
Passos do Concelho de Ponta Delgada
For the series of projects 'Lomography goes…' the two Lisbon Ambassadors Ana de Almeida and Sonia Galiza Ferreira have settled for the Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Azores as their third destination. You are welcome to join them for an excellent and, as always, visually highly stimulating day of challenges. Cameras, film and shooting lists are being provided for all participants. They are to be returned on the same evening.
On May 2 all entries will be presented on a LomoWall at the Galeria Aleria Cisterna do Jardim Antonio Borges; award ceremony and party follow on the same night.

Lomographic Mayday
Saturday, April 30 - Monday, May 2, 12pm
Moloko Vodka Bar, 7 Mill Lane, Cardiff CF10 1FL
Malachy Wolohan is an artist and curator in Cardiff, Wales. He has single-mindedly converted his favourite haunt in the city, the Moloko Vodka Bar in Cardiff, into his own personal Lomography centre. 'Mayday' is what he's calling his Lomographic paper-chase, although he's not going to tell us any more about the secret challenge ahead. All will be revealed when you sign up on April 30 at the Sherman Theatre or at the Moloko Vodka Bar. He has told us this much, though, despite the rigorous nature of the challenge ahead participants should save some of their energy... the mega-vodka party in the bar promises to be exciting. Films are to be handed in on the following Monday; the results will be presented in a special LomoHome.
