Lomographic World Congresses have always been the ultimate surreptitious triggers behind the discovery of new cities and places and delving into their people's lives and secrets. Following congresses in Madrid, New York, Tokyo, Cologne and Vienna, this year's great affair will take place in Beijing. This one's really going to be an exceptional Lomographic event, with an assembly of Lomographers from all over the world revelling in this incredibly historical and emerging 'forbidden' place over five days of high-speed Lomography: a fantastic LomoWall – as usual brilliantly designed by the Lomography architecture team and at a formidable location in the city – with a serious number of nerve-obliterating competitions, plenty of art and culture both on and off the mainstream during an intense day + night programme (a big chunk is dedicated to the disappearing Hutong culture) on the trail of the beauties of the city and of course endless Lomographic photo-challenges! |
