| The authentic Lomo LC-A is only produced in St. Petersburg, and only distributed by the Lomographic Society International. Each piece stands up to our strict requirements of quality and signature photographic style. Each camera is warrantied for a full year from purchase. In order to expand their capacity, increase their excellent quality, recruit the finest young engineers, and produce the LC-A well into the future - the Russian managers of Lomo production will be forced to increase the production cost. This has given us, the Lomographic Society International, no choice but to raise our price in turn. |

PAST (1982 - 1992) |
| General
Igor Petrowitsch Kornitzky slammed a mini-camera onto the desk
of his comrade Michail Panfilowitsch Panfiloff, Director of the powerful
LOMO Russian Arms and Optical factory. A few minutes later the LOMO
LC-A was born and it was decided - every respectable Communist should
have a LOMO KOMPAKT AUTOMAT. Small and robust, the Lomo featured
an awesome color-saturated lens (courtesy of Prof. Radionov) and a
dead-on auto-exposure. Its pictures were gorgeous, and packed
with soul. In 1992, the Lomographic Society members successfully convinced the LOMO factory heads and Mr. Vladimir Putin to resume full production of the amazing LC-A - ensuring that all lomographers across the world would be guaranteed a steady supply of this Russian wonder. Each unit is manufactured with pride and love, at the original birthplace of the whole movement. The Lomographic Society International is the sole global distributor of first quality, authentic LC-A cameras. |
