Only people who always want to see everything, only those who burrow deep
into the bulging handbag of the visual dimension of our world will ever
achieve true Lomographic virtuosity! In accordance with this LomographicMotto,
now millions of images are being shot every day, and thousands of these
are being presented to the public. The Lomographic Snapshot Globe is growing
and growing, and becoming more and more splendiferous the bigger it gets! And this is probably the reason why the automobile manufacturer BMW have been in touch with us for a brainstorming session. And the result is that we have worked out an excellent project together: An international snapshot competition. The aim is to show the diversity of modern life, modern people and the full spectrum of individual modern lifestyles that this entails... and that in quantity, the maximum quantity. Welcome to: You Are Never The Same! The aim of the competition is to collect vast quantities of unusual, exciting, spontaneous images of and revolving around the three basics of mobility: Your Passengers, Your Tools & Your Everyday Life. And the cherry on this cake is not to be left out – we want to exploit the true dimensions of your very personal Lomographic artistic perception of the diversity of life. We want you to send us your All-time Favourite Picture, the one with the absolute max. in expressive power! All the images entered into the competition will start off going online, as well as being shown in loads of big and small Lomographic Exhibitions around the world. Then, in summer 2004, they are all coming together at a top secret location for the biggest, most legendary exhibition of snapshots ever.
